{ Romancing The Rain }

A lot of effort went into the planning of Jaclyn and Jason’s October nuptials in Echuca. After a series of location changes the wedding ended up taking place back at their first choice on the Wharf in the Port district. Rain had its way with us all day but the beauty of this couple’s wedding was the feeling of triumph that you could feel from the people they included in their day. This family of friends were determined to enjoy the wedding and so it was written.

One of the best things about photographing weddings is witnessing the love that exists among families as the day unfolds. These two families were particularly affectionate and had a rare complicity that made their wedding a joy to photograph. Jaclyn’s bridesmaids and Jason’s groomsmen were great to work with, bringing a sense of adventure and fun to the game. These were outgoing people sharing emphatic jokes – a laugh a minute and kisses all round. We may have all gotten drenched but at the end of the day, it was worth every drop. Special thanks to Richard for his back up photography and to Jan and Barry Donchi who allowed us to shelter in their beautiful house on Francis St when the rain prevented us from shooting in the Port.
