Our Biography

Born and raised in the area, principal photographer Jacqueline Berthaume (nee Donchi) spent ten years studying and working in Melbourne before loading her lights, camera, and a French husband into the car and relocating to regional Victoria in 2007.  Her work has been exhibited in Sydney, Melbourne and New York.

Academic photographic training at ICCP, RMIT and NMIT Photography College and a wealth of experience in commercial photography informs her magazine style aesthetic. Trips to Paris, France and Bankok, Thailand continue to enhance her documentary eye and wanderlust.

 

 

 

 

  • During her time in the state’s capital, Jacqueline studied journalism, film, visual arts and under a mentorship with RMIT screenwriting lecturer Dr Lisa Dethridge she was a production co-ordinator for the Patrick White nominated play ‘The War Against Short Trousers’ and acted as a sub-editor for Lisa’s book ‘Writing Your Screenplay’.
  • While studying photography at ICPP and NMIT, she did a 2 year series of modern portraits featuring  Fitzroy personalities including Clem Bastow, Mia Timpano, the Town Bikes, Treetops, , Sharon Bennett, Carla Yamine, Michael Kujck, Marieke Hardy, Peta Calvert, The Black Cyclists and The Bachelor of Arts. She worked as an Electorate Officer for Paul Weller MP in 2008 and was an Editor of 3 magazine titles at McPherson Publishing in Shepparton in 2009.
